Wellington is located along Route 124, just off Route 2, twenty kilometres west of Summerside. The Confederation Bridge in Borden-Carleton. It is a cozy neighbourhood of approximately 400 residents, serviced with a fire department and sewer utility. The Ellis River flows through the core of the community, which also has a dam, fish ladder, pond, and recreational park allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the natural outdoors.

The Community of Wellington serves the surrounding area as a regional hub for commerce and services. Several businesses and establishments are therefore located in the Community, including the Evangeline-Central Credit Union, Wellington Co-op, The Cooperators, Murphy’s Pharmacy, Char’s Restaurant, Wellington Esso and Service Station, Wellington Boys & Girls Club, Seniors Home, Royal Canadian Legion, Canada Post, and Access PEI to name a few.
